Approved Repairer
Most Insurers have an agreement with vehicle repairers to work hand in hand together to ensure that repairs are completed quickly and at a competitive cost. If you have been allocated an approved repairer you will not need to obtain estimates or wait for an engineer to inspect your vehicle. An approved repairer will only be allocated to those with comprehensive cover or where the vehicle repair is covered under policy terms e.g. damage following a theft or fire.

Beyond Economical Repair

Courtesy Car
A courtesy car is a free car provided by the repairing garage. You will be entitled to a courtesy car if you have comprehensive insurance and you are using your insurance companies approved repairer. If you are entitled to a courtesy car you must use this vehicle unless it is un-suitable for your needs i.e. the vehicle is not large enough for you to transport your family.

Please note you will not be entitled to a courtesy car if you are insured third party /third party fire and theft, if your vehicle is an undrievable write off, or if you have no cover under your insurance policy.

Credit Hire Agreement
You will need to sign a credit hire agreement when you receive a replacement vehicle from Drive Assist. This agreement states that you accept the responsibility for the cost of the replacement vehicle, however you will not pay us as we will recover the cost from the at fault drivers insurance company.

Theft or damage to personal belongings (usually limited up to £250 per claim)
