Drive Assist Group Privacy Policy

Drive Assist UK Ltd and all the companies within the Drive Assist group ("We") are committed to
protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us,
will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices
regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Drive Assist UK Ltd of
Tamworth House, Ventura Park Road, Bitterscote, Tamworth, Staffs. B78 3LY.

Information We May Collect From You

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in a Credit Hire Agreement, a Direct Booking Agreement, a
    Hire Agreement, a Credit Repair Agreement, or any other form or agreement for the provision of
    services from us to you. Relevant information includes your name, date of birth, occupation,
    address, telephone number and driving licence information.
  • If you wish to use our insurance when hiring a car from us, we will collect information which
    includes whether you have any health conditions, motoring offences and/or accidents or claims.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence and, if you contact us or are
    contacted by us by phone, we may log in and record our telephone conversation.
  • We may also ask you to complete surveys or questionnaires that we use for research or customer
    survey purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

IP Addresses And Cookies

When using our website at www.driveassist.co.uk ("site"), we may collect information about your
computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type and for system administration. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

For the same reason, we obtain information about your general internet usage by using cookie files
which are stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to
your computer's hard drive. Our site uses Google's Google Analytics service to generate statistics about
the visitors to the site. Google Analytics uses the cookies __utma, __utmb, __utmc and __utmz to store
anonymous information such as whether a visitor to our site has been to the site before, what time they
visited, and whether the visitor was referred to the site from a search engine, email, or other means.

Where We Store Your Personal Data

The data that we collect from you is stored and processed in the United Kingdom. By submitting your
personal data, you agree to this storing and processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to
ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will
do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to
our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict
procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Uses Made Of The Information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To allow us to assess your suitability for hiring a vehicle from us, or us arranging the
    repair of your damaged vehicle, including providing you with insurance where you
    require insurance cover during the hire period.
  • To communicate with you during and after the hire period.
  • For possible marketing activity such as offering permanent replacement vehicles.

Disclosure Of Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties as part of providing the services we have
agreed to provide to you. This may include disclosing your personal information to your and/or our
insurers so that they may confirm your eligibility for car hire from us and/or the insurer of the responsible
party for the purpose of processing your claim against them. It may also include disclosing your personal information to a vehicle hire company in order to provide a hire vehicle to you. We may also disclose your personal information back to the referrer of your case.

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries,
our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the Companies Act
2006.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may
    disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or
    assets.
  • If Drive Assist UK Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party,
    in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the
    transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with
    any legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Drive Assist UK
    Limited, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other
    companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk
    reduction.

Access To Information

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised
in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in
providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Changes To Our Privacy Policy

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where
appropriate, notified to you.
